The Parker Pool is a Class C water just down the hill from the Campfire Circle. It can be booked for water based activities using your group’s own equipment.
Scouting
Parker Pool is a Class C water, therefore no formal qualifications are required to lead the activity. However the requirements set out below must be met.
The person leading the activity must have written permission from their District Lead Volunteer. The written permission should include the name of the leader in charge of the activity, that they have the appropriate skills and knowledge of the activity taking place and that they are solely responsible for leading the activity at all times, as per POR Rule 9.44. (See FS120623 for more information with regard to water activities, excluding swimming on waters regarded as Class C). Ensuring compliance to POR 9.42 in relation to Non Swimmer ratios.
Guiding
As per the Guiding Manual, all instructors must hold the Paddlesport Instructor Award or higher. Anyone holding a Paddlesport Instructor Award must be supervised by a Coach Award Holder unless they have been approved to work Independently.
